Although Oludeniz is described as a lazy beach destination in some brochures there is plenty to do if you are not satisfied with long lazy days on the beach and frozen margaritas in your hand. Olu Deniz, meaning "dead sea" (referring to the
almost landlocked location of the lagoon) , is one
of the most famous and most photographed
beaches in Turkey. There is a small charge to enter
the lagoon area which is set in a protected
Natural Park. Here you will find clear
calm turquoise water and a beach
of fine sand in a beautiful
natural setting - ideal for relaxing
and soaking up the sun. Down
along the beach front there is
a wide choice of restaurants
and bars with a varied
international selection, as
well as a small number of
gift and souvenir shops.
